Signs that a girl isn't into you

The other day a friend of mine mark (Not his real name) wanted to know about the signs that a girl shows if she isn’t interested in a man.I told him that I was going to gather information from the girls then write about it to let him and other guys know. This are the findings i came up with.
Playing hard to get for as long as you can remember
If you have been chasing this girl since you were in first year and now you are in forth year and she hasn’t at all ‘entered your box’, it is high time you stopped the chase brother. This is a clear sign that you are not the one for her. A lady will find an excuse not to be close to you. When you invite her for lunch, she will always refuse the offer.
Not laughing at the jokes you make.
A girl who is not interested in you will not laugh at the jokes you try to make in a n attempt to make
her smile. She will just look at you with that blank expression of “I wish ungejua (you knew) how blunt your jokes are”. When she smiles awkwardly don’t become excited, that smile can mean that she pities you.
Not calling you unless you are the last person who can help.
A lady will easily pick her phone and call you anytime to ask for anything if she likes you and that she considers you a close friend but if you have shown interest in her and she doesn’t feel you then she will not call you unless it is an emergency and you are the last person who can help after weighing all her options. She will call all her friends first until she has you as the last resort then she
will be forced to call you.
Always looking out for all the wrong things you do.
A girl will react by finding faults in everything you say or do. She will always try to ensure that she pushes you far away as possible so don’t even apologize or try to act nice because it doesn’t help. She is trying to pass the message that she isn’t interested using action hoping that you will interpret that as it is.
Not looking into your eyes
A lady will only look into your eyes when she finds you attractive and wants to be close to you. (Keep in mind that this point is subject to discussion) sometimes the opposite applies. A lady will blush if she finds you interesting and can be a potential someday. However, most ladies told me that they don’t look into a guy’s eye but instead try to find something that distracts them like a friend where they will shout to alert them then leave you there as she runs away. This they believe will help you decipher that there is no hope between the two of
you.
Making your complement’s such a big deal.
 If a girl you like grumbles when you complement her, take a hint mr. she doesn’t like you at all. If she snobs you when you say, “you look smart today.” then it is simple she isn’t into you. She wishes she couldtell you to keep quiet or just, “I have a mirror you know.” The opposite reaction is when a different person tells her the same words. You will hear her giggle then a shy ‘thank you’ will follow.
Claiming that there is someone else
If a girl always says there is someone in her life yet all her friends tell you there is no one then it is simple. She doesn’t want you. Well, I hope that will help you decipher if she likes you or not. Enough
said. I rest my case.

I AINT AFRAID OF RAILA,ABABU VOWS

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi_sig7jYXeeXEBbCKbxM-7QonxwA_OiI0X4F0fNhUuPOoCPqNEJRCTGk48UUe_5sD-0a_wmOHLbL4U96FNruGRX8hIzcKXakEia4-lW67QRvfNSh4hmumwPW2baBa_XS-SxYQgFeN6E86w/s1600/0.jpg

Budalangi member of parliament Ababu Namwamba shocked former prime minister Raila Odinga and his CORD supporters when that he doesn'nt fear Raila Odinga. The infamous budalangi mp who has been known for a very long time as a cord stronghold is now revealing to Raila how he cannot mislead his supporters leading a referendum before first making him the ODM's secretary general. he further added that however much Raila tries to tarnish his name calling him jubilees mole he will still remain Ababu.

The National cohesion and Integration Act

your opinion counts on the NCIC Act of parliament against journalism practice in kenya
The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) was formed by an Act of Parliament. The National Cohesion and Integration Act 2008 were enacted after 2007 post election violence crisis and the subsequent political negotiations. A cross section of the media played a significant role in inciting ethnic animosity prior to and during the post election violence in Kenya, and continues to do so today. You may recall with horror and fear, the negative and inflammatory role that vernacular radio stations played in polarizing communities along ethnic lines. The NCIC’s key objective and functions as stated in the Act are to “Encourage National Cohesion and Integration by promoting and facilitating equality of opportunity, good relations, harmony and peaceful coexistence between persons of different Ethnic, Racial communities in Kenya.” The NCIC was born out of the realization that long lasting peace, sustainable development and harmonious co-existence among Kenyans requires deliberate normative, institutional and attitudinal processes of constructing nationhood. NCIC envisions peaceful, united, harmonious and integrated
Kenyan society and has embarked on this role with utmost dedication and energy.

National Cohesion and integration act is more of advantageous to Kenyan media in that it prevents discrimination and ethnicity, advocates for cohesiveness among the diverse groups in the country enforce the legal provisions of national cohesion and integration act of 2008. This Act became part of the laws of Kenya following the post-election violence of 2007-2008 and is a reaction to tame persons spreading hatred especially in the areas of race, color and ethnic origins. At Sections 13, 62 and 63, use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior that is intended to stir ethnic hatred or has the effect of stirring ethnic hatred, is outlawed. Publication or distribution of written material laced with hate messages is an offense under this Act, so are shows, plays or recording of visual images of the same nature.

refer to the NCIC

part iii 13 (2) Any person who commits an offence under this section shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one million shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to both.
                              (3) In this section, “ethnic hatred” means hatred against a group of persons defined by reference to color, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or national origins.
.
 The fear of penalties and victimization-Journalists shun away from giving some crucial information for the public interest that may be deemed as hate speech that causes disunity to the public states that Any person who commits an offence under this Section shall be liable to a fine not exceeding one million Shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or to  both. Journalists 500,000 media house 20m
v  Part iii (13) 3  In this section, “ethnic hatred” means hatred against a group of persons defined by reference to color, race, nationality (including citizenship) or ethnic or
national origins.
Part iv (25) b) discourage persons, institutions, political parties and associations from advocating or promoting discrimination or discriminatory practices on the ground of ethnicity or race;

This two sections have led to killing of major newsworthy  stories t in the name of public interest - journalists have shunned away from covering some  news worth stories on ethnic grounds,  because NCIC tends to cover so much on ethnicity and hence favors some ethnic communities for instance people from one community holding hierarchical positions in one docket /department. For example governor’s offices, majority of universities staffs coming from the v.cs tribe, the recent saba saba rally that was not covered in the name of it would breed ethnic animosity.

v  part iii (13) 1 a-e (1) A person who-
            (a) uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or displays any written material;
            (b) publishes or distributes written material;
            (c) presents or directs the performance the public performance of a play;
            (d) distributes, shows or plays, a recording of visual images; or
            (e) provides, produces or directs a programme; which is threatening, abusive or insulting or      involves  the use of threatening, abusive or insulting words or behavior commits an offence if such person intends thereby to stir up ethnic hatred, or having regard to all the circumstances, ethnic hatred is likely to be stirred up.

 This has reduced aspect of interactivity- interactivity involves the communication between the audience and the media houses i.e during talk shows, news programs commenting on various topical issues in online platforms. The audience is holding back to give their opinions or facts they know about a story

v  Part iv (26)2,b shall publish the names of persons or institutions whose words or conduct may undermine or have undermined or contributed towards undermining good ethnic relations, or who are involved in ethnic discrimination or the propagation of ethnic hate;

In this case News sources are less protected- Anonymity and Confidentiality is less considered as at the moment, there is less secrecy between journalists and their news sources. NCIC together with the CCK have developed a technology that registers all the SIM cards in their databases. This ensures that communication between the two can be mastered and can later be revealed when controversy arises

Part iii  13(1) any person who has undermined or contributed towards undermining good ethnic relations, or who are involved in ethnic discrimination or the propagation of ethnic hate; this has caused

 Hinderance to freedom of speech- Journalists cannot express their views and opinions fully to their audiences, there is a threat of hate speech as the commission has not given a clear description on what is termed as hate speech.

Increase in operational costs- NCIC wants the media houses to use communication enhancement equipment such as Braille and sign language and use of indigenous languages, Kenyan Sign language, Braille and other forms of communication formats and technologies accessible to persons with disabilities. This provision will require the government to come up with a clear language policy that respects the diversity of language communities in Kenya. Similarly, the government will make legal provisions that will require media to be sensitive to people who cannot see, hear, and speak. Unlike in the past, the media will no longer make excuses to continue to ignore these provisions. Kenyan media will have to invest in appropriate technologies, personnel and programs to make this possible. This leads to more expenses in that purchasing these equipment and hiring skilled employees in that field is costly
 part vii Section 62(2) (1)  of Kenya’s National Cohesion and Integration
Act, provides that any media house that publishes utterances intended to incite ethnic hatred, violence, hostility or discrimination commits an offence.  Any person who utters words intended to incite feelings of contempt, hatred, hostility, violence or discrimination against any person, group or community on the basis of ethnicity or race, commits an offence and shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one million shillings, or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years, or both.
(2) A newspaper, radio station or media enterprise that publishes the utterances referred to in subsection
 (1) Commits an offense and shall be liable on conviction to a
Fine not exceeding one million shillings

Censorship-media houses have over censored themselves because they are wary of what might happen if some information or news deemed ethnic based or inciting is aired by them they will be in for a fine or even banned to do their business. In some certain circumstances, the media need to desist from providing hate speech, negative ethnicity and ‘racists’ with a platform.
For example: where a person has been identified or labeled a hate speech Perpetrator or is under investigation or prosecution for hate speech, media Houses may chose to desist from covering such persons speech live or airing it but may chose aspects that does not constitute hate speech and include it in the body of the report read by the presenter.
Notwithstanding the media’s duty to inform the public, in certain situations (e.g. where there is on-going violence targeting members of a group), it has to be very cautious in hosting ‘racists,’ or persons that have resorted to mass violence, lest the media becomes a vehicle for the dissemination of hate speech and the promotion or glorification of violence. This is more so because with the passing of the new legislation

Causes and solution for love handles

<<HEALTHWATCH>>

By maurine kiptum

Some people have dubbed it as tyres. In Kiswahili it is called “masirimbi” its authentic name is love handles. This is a thick layer of fats curved around the circumference of the stomach and it is purely fats. Some say it is natural to have them, others say it is genetically transmitted while some say it is caused by lack of physical exercise, tons of theories have been told but one should know that the type of diet you consume, how often you take them and how you spend your day are the determinants of love handles.  If you are the kind of person who is always sited at the coach with the only task of pressing the remote, visiting the refrigerator and the microwave because you’re eating schedules is holding you back, or probably always working in an office glued to your screen because you have a messenger or a personal assistant you certainly are setting a good environment for these curves to breed.
Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and staying up all night mixed in with some late night munchies and a lazy day can actually impede your shape up goals. Stress is another cause for love handles if you’re having family troubles, too much work or some kind of trauma the body reacts by releasing some hormone which causes you to get padded around your waist. Eating too much carbohydrate, meals such as rice and potatoes are all rich in starch. The excess starch in our bodies is converted to fats stored in our bodies.
Originally love handles have been known to be a woman ‘thing’ but lately it’s astonishing that also men have them, this layers in men converge at the stomach point to form a bulgy belly and you’ll find these men put on a fitting shirt that exposes their skin between  the buttons. It’s cool and decent to put on a fitting pair of cloth not a tight one.
Just a piece of advice if you can’t afford to trim up the excess fats lying beneath and around your stomach try and make peace with it, live with it and while you adopt the dressing code for example its pathetic for a woman to walk around dressed in a tight pair of top or a trouser whose waist is so tight that the excessive folds spill forming a ring and as you walk you know they shake with your steps. Reasons why we should have dressing mirrors on our bedroom walls.visitwww.huffingtonpost.ca/news/love-handles for more information.

Exams cancellation in the school of information sciences

 By maurine kiptum

 The first semester Examinations in the school of information sciences has been cancelled following the exam leakage that saw most of the students complete their exam in thirty minutes time. The schools exam co-ordination board announced the cancellation of the exam in a meeting held at LT1 on Friday 13th June.
It was the first time for the  SIS to ever steal the exam where some of the students were found with stealing materials such as mwakenyas  carrying exactly the answers  to the questions in the exam paper while others tattooed their bodies with A,B,C,D answers which was a clear conviction that the exam actually leaked. Others finished up the paper in 30 minutes time. “How can someone finish my paper within 30 minutes?” Dr. Okello an I.T lecturer remarked “In an hour’s time all the students were done except a few who were just wrapping up.
 Some individuals were caught stealing glances at their phones which had a photo of a section of exercise books notes photographed so as to copy.
The exams board chairperson Mr.Wanade said the students who were found cheating in exams will face the panel and a disciplinary action be taken on them and will serve as an example to the rest. However the board’s major interest was to determine the source of the exam disclosure by summoning the culprits whom after thorough interrogation revealed their fellow students who also had the paper and the cycle went on like that to a list of 84 students mentioned.
 The list is however controversial since some students raised claims that they were purported by their enemies.

I interviewed one of the students who anonymously exposed how the students hack the emails of their lectures when given to submit their assignments online. The student further brought out to the open how some staffs who are also students in their class got the leak from their colleagues who are exam setters which is later disseminated to the rest of the class through friendship.
Others voiced out their cry on how the syllabuses are shallowly covered and that some lectures severally miss classes with no time to recover due to the shortened semesters.
 “It’s a mutual benefit we pay them, they give us the questions so is today’s business” another student affirmed how they group themselves and contribute cash to buy the exam from the sources.

All that were involved including the students and the staff will face the Moi university senate board on 27th July this year where they will face the full execution of the university law.

MANAGE YOUR KIDNEYS FOR A HEALTHIER YOU

 By maurine kiptum

The kidney is a pair of bean-shaped organs located on either side of the back side of the abdomen just below the rib cage.
Some people are born with one, which is abnormal, but people can donate one kidney and live a normal life. This means that one good, functioning kidney is adequate for the tasks designed for the organ. Above each kidney is a gland (adrenal gland), which together with the kidney is surrounded by a layer of fat. The kidney is supplied with blood by the renal artery and purified blood leaves the kidney via the renal vein .The renal pelvis collects urine and the urethra transports it. The bladder stores it until it is eliminated.

A combination of all the above form the urinary systems and their functions are intertwined. Small as they are kidneys are the key to normal body function. A problem in the kidney affects all the parts of the body.
To understand the weight of this effect, we need to appreciate the functions of the kidneys, which are as follows:

  •  To clean blood by filtering out waste products and eliminating them through urine.
  •   To maintain body fluid composition
  •   To produce two hormones Renin: and Erythoprotein which is needed by the body to control the blood pressure, which is responsible for promoting production of red blood cells in the bone marrow.
  • To convert vitamin D to its most active form. This facilitates the absorption of calcium needed for normal functioning of cells, strong bones and teeth , body alkalinity and immunity.
  •  To remove poisons from the body emanating from foods and drugs including hard prescription drugs and personal care products and environment.

You can manage your kidney well in order to promote its effective functioning. This can be achieved by paying special attention to the functions of the kidneys, what causes its disorders and providing ingredients that promote their r efficient functioning. Some of the disorders and their remedies include:
Autoimmune disorders - Increase intake of antioxidant rich with foods in the diet.
Decreased blood flow due to decreased blood pressure - consult a health profession and improve your diet to include foods rich in essential amino acids vitamins B complex and C, enzymes and enzymes that promote production of hormones.
Disorders causing clots in the blood vessels serving the kidneys – detoxify liver, blood and the digestive system.
Infections that directly injure the kidney – Seek treatment from a health [professional and eat foods that help in repairing and replacing body cells.
Obesity – Eat foods that help in reducing weight.
Kidneys work in harmony with other body systems such as digestive, circulatory, reproduction, urinary tract and spleen. It is, therefore, important that this work well also. The digestive system is important in particular because it can reduce the workload of the kidneys by ensuring they get minimum wastes. Foods consumed for their optimum functioning should be eaten daily.
Some of the foods that help in maintaining a healthy kidney by promoting urine and hormone production, cell repair, replacement of damaged cells include asparagus, onions, artichokes, cauliflower ,garlic, eggplants ,celery, cabbages and natural greens among others.
